Dolphins don’t pick up Stephone Anthony’s 2019 option

The decisions about 2019 contract options for 2015 first-round picks are in and the final result finds that 20 of the 32 picks had their options exercised this offseason.

Per Mike Garafolo of NFL Media, one of the 12 that didn’t is Dolphins linebacker Stephone Anthony. Anthony is now set for unrestricted free agency after the 2018 season unless he signs a new deal with Miami before hitting the open market.

Snell reported that Patricia and his friend, Greg Dietrich, were indicted on one count of aggravated sexual assault in relation to allegations stemming from an encounter during spring break in South Padre Island, Texas. Patricia was a student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at the time.

The accuser decided against testifying, which resulted in the case never going to trial.

Baalke is gone, but the 49ers haven’t stopped taking players in that position. They made former North Carolina State defensive end Kentavius Street the 128th overall pick of the draft despite a torn ACL that he suffered during a pre-draft workout for the Giants.

Street had surgery a few days ago and will almost surely spend his rookie season on injured reserve with the Niners.

Street started every game the last two seasons on a strong N.C. State defensive line — Street is the fourth player from the line drafted so far this year — and finished his college career with 19 tackles for losses and eight sacks.

Quite the start for new general manager Brian Gutekunst.

The Kansas City Chiefs were bound to ask Alex Smith to pass the quarterback torch to Patrick Mahomes in the near future. You don’t sacrifice two first-round picks for a guy and keep him on the sideline for long. broncos_065_bd10520178894a2b-180x180
